tropic
Tropic - either of two parallels of latitude about 23.5 degrees to the north and south of the equator representing the points farthest north and south at which the sun can shine directly overhead and constituting the boundaries of the Torrid Zone or tropics
How about those not included in the tropics? What do you call it?

Thanks Ron. I was trying to remember them for such a long time, hoping I would. Hopeless, I asked it here and thanks for the answer and the correction too.

I'm glad I could help.
(Right now in Charlotte it feels like we are in the tropics. By the time we get used to the heat summer will probably be over.)
