OF COURSE I DID. That's why I asked you this question. Does pompous mean to exhibit self-importance, arrogance? A pompous person. The other meaning of this word is to use some fancy language I think. Bombastic is often used to describe speech, language. When I looked up in the dictionary, for the definitions of 'bombastic, grandiose, high-flown', they use these words interchangely among themselves for their meanings. I had no clue at all. I think these three words are mostly used to describe using fancy language in speech. "pompous and grandiose' are used to describe people who want to show their importance, but does it necessary to show their importance by using fancy language or it can be other way.

I am not sure about the last part of the sentence ("can it be the other way around").
