Are thses sentences correct:
1-Weeds are growing in my garden.
2-Weeds grow in my garden.
3-Weeds are in my garden.

1&2 sound fine. 3 doesn't do it; I'd say 'there are weeds...'. However, weeds are a problem in my garden.

I agree with TDOL. #3 is grammatical, but it would not be a common way of expressing that thought. My sense is that the delayed subject construction for these types of statements is more common now than it was 50-100 years ago. Chalk it up to changing language. :wink:
