Default road direction

Thank you Teacher Casiopea.

How to answer the question" In what direction does the
3rd street go?" ?

Can I say : It goes North to South. ?

Hmmm. That would be OK for one way streets or situations where one is standing at the origin. What about streets that go both ways?
