Default antonym of "precursor"?

Dear teachers,

I just couldn't find it on any dictionary that I have here...

Some of the meanings of "precursor" don't really have an antonym. Susie's suggestion is a good one for for one meaning "something that somes before". Another definition, something that is turned into something else, would be difficult to make an opposite for. :wink:
