George W. Bush is our 43rd president. George Washington was the 1st, having been unanimously elected by the Electoral College in 1789.

Say:
- How many men have become U.S. President?
(Grover Cleveland was president twice--two nonconsecutive terms.)

Right! So that would make George W. Bush the 42nd man to have become President.

You live and learn. Was Grover famous for anything other than being elected twice? He seems to have slipped through my historical net.

Cleveland was reformer. As such, he made more enemies than friends. He was not known for much that was important outside the US. He did get involved with some border dispute between Britain and Venezuela, but I don't know much about that.

I didn't realise we had a border with Venezuela.
