Default are right these sentences

I've been practicing english and I would like to know if these sentences I've written are ok, thanks!

1- Michael Jackson is widely believed to be a lover of plastic surgery.
2- I bought a staggeringly expensive birthday present for my boyfriend.
3- CDs are keenly priced at retail outlets.
4- Our seats at the rock concert are carefully chosen.
5- After his singularly unsuccessful previous work, his new album has become a number one.

The first two are good, but I am not sure what keenly priced means. Perhaps:
CDs are competitively priced at retail outlets.
For the fourth sentence, try:
Our seats at the rock concert were carefully chosen.
For the fifth sentence, perhaps:
After his singularly unsuccessful previous work, his new album has reached number one on the charts.

Or:

After his singularly unsuccessful previous work, his new album has become a number one seller.
