    "Strusturalism behaved as a kind of technocracy of the spirit , the final penetration of modernity into the iner sanctum of the subject."
    What does mean "spirit" here? Is it an idiomatic expression?

    Here "spirit" is being used with the meaning: the immaterial intelligent or sentient part of a person.
