Default Is there anything wrong in these sentences?

1. Please walk more slowly, I can't keep up with you.
2. "Would you mind my opening the window?" "No, please go ahead."

I think nothing is wrong with these sentences, but some say these are wrong. Please, tell me what is wrong.

Always appreciate your help.

The sentences are so far correct.

An alternative to 2 would be ' Would you mind me opening the window?'

1. This is a run-on sentence. ( A run-on sentence is one in which two or more complete thoughts are written incorrectly as one sentence.)

This sentence may be corrected like this:
a) Please walk more slowly. I can't keep up with you. OR like this:
b) Please walk more slowly because I can't keep up with you.

2. The original sentence is better in my point of view, although some might consider me a purist or a traditionalist.

I know that "me opening" is acceptable in informal speech, but I prefer to use the possessive case to modify a gerund.

He objected to my opening the window.
He objected to Mary's opening the window.

So, imho, the only mistake in the two original sentences is the comma in the first one.
