    Default Trading stock for profits

    Dear teachers:

    It's different from investing. I know day trading, yet it refers to in and out of stocks the same day. Can you tell me any generic terms with this meaning?

    Just like day trading. Day traders and institutional traders buy and sell stocks daily. Making money is their sole purpose. Some other people share the same purpose but pratice. They may buy and hold stocks for a short period of time. What is the term for all these kinds of stock tradings -- opportunity stock trading?
