Can I please ask for some advice. I am 54 years old and when I was younger I only took a CSE in English. Recently I acquired level 2 in communications but I want to know what to do next in order to continue studying English. Do I do Gcse or do I go for a higher level key skills if I can find somewhere to do this.At the time when I did level 2 I was told this was equivalent to GCSE. I would appreciate some advice. I don't really want to do the GCSE as I am more intereted in Lingustics.

What does your local college offer in the way of English courses? There may be an elementary linguistics course, or even a course studying the development of English. It all depends on your local authority!
