When we meet somebody... we usually ask "how are you?".
But sometime I see somebody asking "how are you doing?"
what is the difference? Please let me know the correct usage in correct situation...
can we use the reply "fine" and "great" for both the above sentence

How are you? - general use of greeting
How are you doing?- for good or close friends.
Fine, thanks thank you.
Fine, thanks / thank you.
Just great / Great, thanks / thank you.
I`m doing fine, thanks/thank you
