Please, I need some help in a rush!

I'm taking my english exam on Monday and some questions have come to my mind and I can't find their answers in my notes.

1st There is an expression which is something like "to grow a habit ¿up?" whose preposition I don't remember so I would feel very happy if somebody could tell me. I tried to look on the internet but I didn't find it. The expression means that when you are an adult you have to leave some childish behaviours.

2nd There is a slightly difference between these two sentences:

- I have a few friends.
-I have few friends.

In one was implied regret and in the other the speaker was happy even if he didn't have many friends. I don't remeber which one meant regret...

3rd I've been learning the use of "lest"... can it replace "in order not to"

or maybe "in order to make sure that something will not happen".

In my opinion "few" may sound like a regret. But I'm not sure.

I think your first doubt is "grow a habit of doing something"

#1 Are you thinking of "you must grow up"? Or perhaps "grow out of something"?

#2 If you have few friends, you don't have many [or even any] friends

#3 yes, it can: Your mother said that you shouldn't shout lest you wake up the baby.
