Can i say visiting hometown is boring? For example,

I used think that visiting hometown is boring, so I tried to avoid vising my hometown. However, on the contary, visiting hometown was exciting because i watched traditional exhibitions and building. Also, I could feel the traditional atmosphere in my home town.

Can i say visiting hometown is boring? Yes, but in your passage using "would be" is better. For example,

I used think that visiting my home town would be boring, so I tried to avoid it. However, I found that going back to my home town was exciting because i could see again the traditional exhibitions and buildings. Also, I could feel the traditional atmosphere in my home town.
