My name is ...
Hello,
I just heard that the expression of "My name is ......" is now outdated. Is this true? I think I might have heard, on a US radio, American students introducing themselves saying My name is ... when their turn came to ask their pre-prepared question of a professional astronaut or someone. I wonder if the expression is very formal?
I would be happy if I could have some comment.
Sincerely yours,
Yui
