Wipe them tears

In the song "Mockingbird" of the rapper Eminem, there are this sentence :

"No more crying, wipe them tears
Daddy's here, no more nightmares"

I would like to know where does the expression "wipe them tears" come from ? Why this "them" instead of "your" for example ?
