cc: hand delivered?
When I am sending a copy of a letter to an employee but also hand delivering the same letter to them how should that be shown? Is cc: Hand delivered appropriate or needed?

You are sending the same letter through the mail and giving it to them by hand? Isn't that unnecessary?

Not necessarily. Even if a person receives the mailed copy, they can claim that they didn't, that it was lost in the mail. A hand-delivered copy has to be signed for, and has proof of delivery as a result.
In answer to the original question, yes, you'd list the person's name after CC: and then insert "hand delivery" or "hand delivered" afterwards in parentheses.
