study or studying
Hi native speakers,
what is difference between study and studying?
For example,
Students should learn to balance between study OR studying and social activities.
Many thanks

''study'' is a regular noun while ''studying'' is a gerund. Because ''activities'' is also a regular noun, the sentence will have grammatical balance if ''study'' is used.
Students should learn to balance study and social activities. (don't need ''between'')
