i need some tips for writing skill

U KNOW .. this is my first participation here in this forum...
it won't by the last ...
well.. i got a question ..
I wrote a long sentence but i don't know wether it is correct or not?
My sentence is :

"Days and days passed.
this goverment spreaded, ruled the world, and publicized justice in th universe."

Days and days passed. (one sentence)
This government expanded, ruled the world, and spread justice throughout the universe. (second sentence)

It would seem that the second set of actions took longer than days and days. :wink:
