Hi native speakers,
I don't know whether I should use 'in', 'on' or 'at'?
1. There is a temple in/on/at Peterson's Road.
2. Peterson Catheral is located in/on/at Peterson's Road.
3. There is a temple in /on/at Peterson's Street.
4. Peterson Catheral is located in/on/at Peterson's Street.
5. There is a temple in/on/at the road.
6. There is a temple in/on/at the street.

Peter. | You use "on" with every sentence. If you specified a specific address for either the temple or cathedral then you would use "at". |

## Peterson Cathedral is located at 225 Peterson Road

I am not a native speaker. I learnt it at school that all three prepositions are possible in the sentences --- they are very much dependent on the meaning that the author would want to convey. |

Hi native speakers,
It seems that British English is different than American English concerning the use of 'on' and 'in'.
What is difference between 'on' and 'in' in the following sentences?
1. There is a temple on Peterson's Road.
2. You will find Peterson Cathedral in Peterson Road

pete | I find it hard to believe that Sentence #2 is valid in British English but it certainly isn't correct in North America (Canadian or American English)

Q: Where will I find xxxx? A: Where will I find Selfridges? You will find it in Oxford Street.
Where will I find Harvey Nicks? You will find it in Knightsbridge.
Where will I find the post office? You will find it in the High Street. |

Regarding the following sentences mentioned in this thread. What is the difference between 1 and 2 with respect of 'on' and 'in'?
1. There is a temple on Peterson's Road.
2. You will find Peterson Cathedral in Peterson Road
How about the following sentences?
3. A temple called Rinpochi is in Peterson's Road or on Peterson's Road?
