What is this sentence's meaning?
I like pants
Dear Teachers,
First of all, My question may be quite silly, but I really cannot take what the sentence implies.
Could anyone please answer my question?
Thanks very much in advance.

Re: What is this sentence's meaning?
"Pants" are (in the U.S.) a type of clothing - known as trousers elsewhere. Apparently the person writing this has a fondness for them. Perhaps this person prefers pants more than skirts.

Re: What is this sentence's meaning?
I'd agree.
Ex: I like (wearing) pants, not skirts.

Note, in Japan, pants (Japanese pan-tsu) refers to underwear. That is, I like pants can "imply" the person has a thing/a fetish of sorts for underwear.

Re: What is this sentence's meaning?
Thank you very much, Barb_D-san and Soup-san !!!

I’m very surprised to hear that its meaning is merely used for personal taste.
And yes, as Soup-san mentioned, the pants(pan-tsu) refers to underwear in Japan. So I imagined the words should’ve been the kind of idioms.
By the way, I imagined they might be kind of degenerates in the first place.
Best Regards
