    Default last/ the last

    Hi,
I want to konw the difference between:
    1-"last, the last"
    2-"both, either and neither".

Last can be an adjective, noun, verb or adverb. The last is the noun form.

noun: She is always nagging me. Will I ever hear the last of it?
verb: This paint is very good. The color lasts for a long time on the fence, even in direct sunshine.
adjective: The greedy child took the last cookie.
adverb: When did you last see him?

    2-"both, either and neither".

Both of us can do the work.
Either of us can do the work.
Neither of us can do the work.
