Default Best completing a sentence.

My child has a directive that says: Circle the word that best completes each sentence.

(We, They) had to go to the game.

To me either is fine..They had to go to the game.

We had to go to the game.

Help, please. I'm a first timer, so hopefully I get someone, who really believes, there are no stupid questions.

As this has been set out, yes, either 'We' or 'They' would work, D.
