Amount or Number?
Hi all.
I was making some statistics in an excel spreadsheet from a poll I sent to some employees.
I was asking myself which of these two phrases is correct? or which is the most convenient to write in a table of "Answers by manager"
Number of people who answered
Amount of people who answered
Number of people that answered
Amount of people that answered
Thanks!

Re: Amount or Number?
"Number of people who answered" is what I would use.
You cannot have an amount of people.

Thanks Anglika!
What about "headcount" instead of "number of people"?

Re: Amount or Number?
I wouldn't use it in this context.
