| Dear Merlosa, Not all words ending in -ly can be considered as adverbs. It depends on how we use it in a sentence. For example, the underlined word in the first sentence is an adjective and the second one is an adverb. She talked to me in a friendly way. She talked to me politely. You can see more examples by consulting a good dictionary. |
