make up Does "make up" has something to do with sex in AE?
Once I said: American girls are good at making up.
I was laughed by my American friends.
I really meant they are good at applying cosmics.

Teacher Re: make up To "make up" is to reconcile after a fight. In a relationship, that may lead to the resumption of sex, but it doesn't really have anything to do with sex.
