First, should it be 'is' or 'was' in the question? Secondly, which answer should I choose? a. I forget. b. I forgot. c. I have forgotten. I think (c) is correct. Thanks.

You can use either is or was here - the film continues to exist so the present is acceptable. Of the answers, #a or #c are both acceptable. #a is probably more colloquial.

Have you never been asked a question about something and said "I forget"? In the context of the question, #b is not correct since the question is being asked now and therefore the expected answer will also be about the state of remembering now.

I do think answer a. is possible as Anglika suggested. If I choose to reply "I don’t remember," doesn’t this amount to saying "I forget." Most people would probably say "I’ve forgot(ten)."
