outside textbooks
Hi there,
Is it correct to use 'outside of textbooks'? I want to say students can learn things that they can't learn in textbooks when they join extra curricular activities.
Joining extra curricular activities can allow students to learn things outside of textbooks.
many thanks
pete

I suppose this can be used. The word "beyond" could also be used instead of "outside of".
