at the conference

Is there any difference between the following sentences:

I'll see you at the conference.
I'll see you in the conference.

Hi Pete,
You meet up AT somewhere but you learn a lot IN the lesson/ conference.
This is because where you meet might be the conference building, not inside the lecture room which "in" implies.
