khmer New year please check this out and help me editing this paragraph. Thanks for your helps, and i would appreciate for any comments. Khmer New Year Every nation has its own celebration of New Year. Just as those nations, Cambodia has its own unique New Year called Khmer New Year. There are dozens of reasons that Khmer New Year has been celebrated, but in this paragraph you will only find two main points of celebrating this festival. First, some people may find this festival as a chance to be with their family as well as their relative. In our society, eighty percent of citizens are farmers and they all have a very busy life in their career. Some may not be able to have even a meal all together with their own family and this become a crisis of the growing distance among family members. When New Year takes place, it is a special opportunity to confess what they have done in the previous year and shout out a New Year resolution to the family members in the dining room. By doing so, members in family would have known more about each other and the misunderstanding including hatred will be erased after knowing the hidden behind the scene; moreover, their relationship will be closer because of nothing to be barriers or misunderstanding. New Year is not only assessed as a confession day, but also the day of expressing our gratitude as a child to the parents. In these days, people realize not only to perform ritual to their dead ancestor, but also gratify to their parents by giving money, foods, and wishing them long life. Second, we can also enjoy ourselves after the collection of yield. Khmer New Year is normally celebrated after Cambodian people have already collected their yield and this represent that they are free from hard works. As they are free, Khmer would play their traditional games which can be funs, preserving their culture, and giving chance to the younger generations to expose themselves to their own culture. In conclusion, Khmer New Year is celebrated base on the two significant reasons above. |
