Paris' "Stars are blind"

If I see the title of the Paris' album "Stars are blind" I will get in a tight spot.

I know the adjective "blind" stands for "literally blind" (unable to see), but on the second hand there are more and yet more different and utterly discrepant meanings: unwilling or unable to perceive or understand, insensitive, indifferent, prejudiced,partial, covered, concealed, furtive, secret, drunk and many others.

Could you tell me the way I have to follow in order to make the correct choice of a alternative.

How will you proceed in such situation? There is no context.

I don't think in this context you need go much beyond "stars cannot see".

The alternatives you offer would need contexts in which there is something/are things which stars will ignore for their own reasons.

It seems to me as well as alternative meanings for 'are blind' you need to consider alternative meanings for 'stars'. I can think of three broadly different meanings, any of which could be appropriate:

stars = celebrities [Madonna is a star]
stars = celestial phenomena [Our Sun is a star]
stars = astrological influences ['Have you heard, it's in the stars/Next July we collide with Mars']

Maybe astrology is the key, with blind meaning impartial. So that the title 'Stars are blind' means 'Luck is luck. Good people don't always get good luck. What happens happens. Qué será será' It wouldn't be the first time a pop song said something along those lines

I agree with your idea about astrology. There are such words as fate and destiny, doom, Last judgment and s.o. They are blind, aren't they.

You are in the right. The "stars" is a polisemantic term also. Anglika is in the right too. The context only could settle the matter.
