syntax is a part of grammar. it says how the sentences are build: the words' oreder within sentences.Quote:

when we change the word order/syntax, we change (or lose) the meaning as well, thus the syntax is important
e.g.
Dog a have I. => it doesn't make any sense, does it? it happens so, because the syntax is incorrect ;)
