What is a syntax? Is it linked with Grammar?
syntax is a part of grammar. it says how the sentences are build: the words' oreder within sentences.
e.g.
a statement: I have a dog. => noun (subject) + verb (predicate) + noun (object )
when we change the word order/syntax, we change (or lose) the meaning as well, thus the syntax is important
e.g.
Dog a have I. => it doesn't make any sense, does it? it happens so, because the syntax is incorrect ;)
i hope that my chaotic explanation helps at least a little.
