Wow, my bad, my question was definitely ill-phrased!

    I meant it to be:

How would you describe someone who hardly ever go out anymone, for instance since he got married and have had two children etc. ? Is there any specific verb or noun to depict such a person?

Incidentally you answer is interesting though!

We can say that the person has become a 'hermit' in BE.

I'm a homebody, but I am definitely neither a hermit nor a recluse.

He was asking about people who 'hradly ever' go out, so 'hermit' seemed to fit the bill. I didn't have you in mind.
