Welcome to the forums.
It seems to be a translated saying. It is certainly not an English one.

No - but Google (I haven't looked any further) - suggests that 'the bearded butcher' is a depreciative reference to Castro. So the whole quote might be a slogan about some sort of trade with Cuba. I'm out on a limb here though - and need more context.

I think you have fallen off your limb
No...it isn't Castro
I found this on Myspace Music in a blog about a song at MySpace.com - skat flatulence and the plastic animal cramps - WORCESTER, Massachusetts - Other / Experimental / Other - www.myspace.com/skatflatulenceandtheplasticanimalcramps
Welcome to the world of Skat Flatulence and the Plastic Animal Cramps. I'd bet you'd like to know where we came from... Mars, mostly... the Red Planet is wild, untamed, not unlike us. ALL YOU REALLY NEED TO KNOW is that we are a bunch of spastic weirdos with an affinity for crazy music. If that's not enough for you, picture a man. An old man. A sweaty man. A butcher. A bearded butcher. With damp firewood. Now picture that man at work. A damp, bearded butcher with damp firewood. And a squeeky meat-slicer. Widdling away at a massive slab
It is some kind of hip/hop or experimental song.
It is impossible to translate what this means, I think you will agree.
Please....if your English problems involve obscure modern songs, tell us. They are almost impossible to understand in a normal sense.

Sounds like something Master Po used to tell young Grasshopper on Kung Fu.

Thank you ! all of you!
I was unable to check your replies to my answer, but it`s better to say thank you know than never.
It`s really funny to read the different responses you`ve had to my question - from Fidel Castro, through hip-hop, to Kung fu...
I have not idea what that sentence could mean, I thought it`s an idiom and a friend of mine told me that "wet wood" is quite expensive in US..
I found it at this website: the-building.com - Home. But it`s not there anymore. I think that it`s a some kind of youth-club website in Slovakia /EU/.
Maybe I should try to ask them, finally.
