Default Vocabulary Question

COULD YOU EXPLAILN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "TO MAKE A NOTE" AND "TO TAKE A NOTE". CAN WE SAY "TO MAKE NOTES" OR "OR "TO TAKE NOTES"? tHANKS SO MUCH

To take a note or take notes means that you are jotting down important thoughts during a meeting or lecture that you will refer to/study later. Make a note means that you're going to write down a short reminder for yourself, such as a small "to do" list.

And please don't use all capital letters in future posts. Thanks!
