I'm down! Better the foot slip then the tongue.

In principle I agree with your statement that this is not a place for political discussion. Take it easy! I am a good disciplinarian and I will observe rules and customs of this forum.

And so, to get back to English. I would try to use (probably not so successfully as you) some cooking idioms which would put in words some
wandering thoughts that are brewing in my head recently:

I think that your bread is buttered on both sides.

Yon manage always to bring home the beckon.

Tastes differ.

Too much plenty makes mouth dainty.

A close mouth catches no flies.

And something others:

Prudence looks before as well as behind.

Think today and speak tomorrow.

I have to ask you apologize my foul language.
I know that "A word is enough to the wise" by reason of I save my trouble to interpret the above-mentioned proverb. I am very glad to combine duty with pleasure. I hope you are convinced in my peaceable disposition.
