Hi all,
Please help me to understand the bellow sentence!
"Each time the students have a 1 in 5 chance of guessing correctly."
What does 'a 1 in 5 change' mean?
Thanks a lot!
PLt
This means that there probably are 5 answers (eg. in a multiple choice test), and only one is correct. So if you pick an anwser haphazardly, you will have a 1 in 5 chance to be correct.
FRC
If there are 5 possible answers, then a student can guess and has a 20% chance of getting the correct answer. This is important because it caffects the accuracy of a test.![]()
