I'm not sure if I could say stuck to each other instead. If not, why not? Thanks.

No Agli..."stuck with each other" is correct. "Stuck to each other implies that they are mechanically fixed to each other, with glue perhaps!

"stuck with each other" means like it or not the two people must live or be with each other. In this case they are brothers living in the same home presumably. They are forced into being together....the have no choice.

Depending on the intonation when it is said, this can be a joke or a bitter comment on reality.

"Stuck to each other" as pointed out before means somehow the too people are fastened together with a glue or something sticky. The previous poster said mechanically as opposed to say....emotionally. There is something physical causing the stickiness.

Thanks Naamplao, that explains it perfectly. "Stuck with" an emotional or situational bond, as in family, love situation, etc. "Stuck to" ...The chewing gum is stuck to my hair (for example). Just one of those rules that you have to accept!
