Receive or take?
Hi,
Is it correct to say, "Please don't receive/take the payment from him, even if he insists. Receive/take it from me."
By the way, which is better and more informal to say, "receive" or "take"?
Thanks
Regards,
Asad

Re: Receive or take?
Receive is wrong here. Better would be -
'Please don't accept the payment from him, even if he tries to insist. I want to pay for it.'
Of the two words take is less formal.
