Default Hyphenated words

Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing our organisation's annual report and am unclear on the correct use of hyphenating words such as "...on-site visits."

I would appreciate your views on this.
Kind regards

Default Re: Hyphenated words

Hi,

When a compound word, such as 'on-site', functions in a sentence as an adjective or an adverb, it is hyphenated.
