Dear all,
Hi, I'm new here.
I was wondering whether we could use the word data as a countable known.
I've seen many examples such as "There are many data... and "My data is very limited"
It seems that it can be countable or non-countable noun.
Am I right?
Thanks![]()
Hi Mektok, I can easily see why this may be confusing. It will take a better user of English than me to explain the grammar behind the use of "data" The singular form is "Datum" but is rarely used, data being the plural form. However, in modern usage you will find that "There is much or a lot of data... and "My data is very limited" is accepted as being correct
