abdel | If you want to say that something happens before another thing happens, with the second situation usually being the result of the first situation, you can use this structure (also called perfect participle phrase): Having spent over two years in the jungle, Mr Brugge decided to return to his home country, Canada. Because Mr Brugge had spent over two years in the jungle... or Mr Brugge decided to return to his home country, Canada, after he had spent over two years in the jungle.  |
