Default numbers

How should I write numbers in a short story? The number is in reference to a highway. It is for my creative writing class. Here is the sentence how it stands right now.

I was cruising to the new mall along Highway three-thirty-one.

Thanks so much

Default Re: numbers

Hello Unreg,

For highways and motorways, you use numerals, e.g. the M4, Highway 331, etc.

Best wishes,

MrP
