time to build
Knowing that their home would still take quite a long time to build, they took shelter under the canopy of the forest.
* What does it mean

To build means to construct
a long time to build means that the home cannot be constructed in a short time (for example, a few days)

I thought it's an idiom.
But it's not what the story here is all about.

They're going home and not building one.

Re: time to build
I humbly apologize for not reading the whole theme before this addition.
In this case it should have read:
Knowing that traveling to their home would still take quite a long time, they took shelter under the canopy of the forest.
(Thunder claps)
Bolts of Lightning, time and again, struck the ground.
When one hit a spot just beside them...

It's fine, W.
Of course, I still know I was wrong there and is grateful for your correction.
Thanks!

Look at post #30 by Knowledge and my post #32...
The #1 post in this thread was an excerpt from another thread that got me confused. So I made a new thread to ask about it.

Sorry if I troubled you, Naamplao.
I think I got my answer now, it was Wholeman's reply to my post and he has cleared it already.
Thanks, anyway.
P.S. Anyway, I completely agree with your answer there.
