it's not worth it
Hello everyone
I'd like to ask about the phrase "it's not worth it".
Momoa said, "Stupid tibeheads don't have snipers? Spicy!"
"If they don't have any good shots," Gallagher said, "it's not worth it. A bad sniper's worse than no snipers."
What does 'it's not worth it' mean in this case?
I think that's not the same as in "It's not worth doing that."

Re: it's not worth it
Not really enough context, but it seems to be that Gallagher does not feel it is worth taking any risks, as a bad shot with a gun is worse than there not being a gunman.

Thank you very much, Anglika.
Here is the context (military units are going to attack the convention center, the author describes actions of one of them)
"We'll talk about it later," Henry said dismissively. Then he put his hand to his ear. "Companies 3,4, and 5 in position."
Vega pulled his GD2 off his chest and stood at the ready. They were waiting for Bat 3 to provide air strikes, and then they'd move in.
Sniper 1, "Henry said", "what do we have?"
"Patrols on each entrance. Four at each door."
"What about the roof?"
"Nada, sir."
At that, Henry actually smiled. It wasn't an expression his face was suited for, and Vega found himself wishing he hadn't.

Re: it's not worth it
Hmm - yes - Gallagher is saying that the enemy haven't got snipers as they probably haven't got any good marksmen [people who shoot accurately], and a bad marksman is worse than no marksman at all. They can't shoot straight and don't hit the targets.
