Hi,
I want to know what verb to be used with the noun shopping:
Is it:
1. .... go shopping.
2. .... do shopping.
3. I am/was shopping.
I believe that it is, Do shopping is it right? But I heard it on the T.V said
that "I am shopping"
Thank you.

 My teacher used to correct it to me and to change it in order to be "I do shopping". "What about doing some shopping" "Women like do shopping alot".
He is British and I like him sooooooo much. I thought that it is different in use from AE to BE.
Thank you very much.

Nouns, right?
No "do"s in the lot. What's the pun?
Try,
Let's do some shopping. :D
Let's do shopping. (marginal; slang; means, Let's shop, Let's go shopping)
All the best,
