Blue is a colour associated with the politically conservative.
Red is a colour associated with the politically liberal.

Mousa,
In the USA, a 'true blue conservative' is an individual who is loyal, faithful, and supportive of the issues advocated by the conservative political party. Someone who is 'true blue' will not run, fade, or change their beliefs in the face of adversity.
