Smile crawl/climb up

Theresa watched the beetle crawl/climb up the wall.



Do both crawl and climb work in the above wording? If yes, what is the slight variance in meaning? Thanks.

Yup. 'crawl' might, for some people, give it more of a creepy feel.

You are correct! Spiderman 'climbs' while a slow moving bug 'crawls'!
