how to instill the confidence to speak english..
i'm usually talk in malay language. when i try to speak english, i'm afraid that i might be wrong in pronounsation n sentence
That's not your individual feeling. Everyone who is not English native speaker has the same difficulty as yours.
The best solution is that talk to native speakers. If you can't do that, talk to your friends, related people (may be they don't understand you, but at least you can talk), think about every situation in English as much as posible.
Self-confidence and diligence will help you. Certainly, you will make mistakes, but you'll learn alot from your mistakes.
Post questions here at this forum is a good way, too. Many people willing to help us.
I'm a Vietnamese. I'm very poor, I don't have money to study at University.
So, I study myself at home, but I believe I will get used to speaking English in someday. I've been learning English over one year and I can get 630 score of TOEIC test. I'm really believe in myself.
I hope that my opinion can give you some ideas.
And if I make any mistake in this article, everyone who is reading, please correct it for me. Thanks.

however, as to speaking, it's very important to have a native to talk to.
there are thousands of nuances in pronunciation that you will only get used by having contact with a native.
and, every native has a different background. a guy from the USA speaks differently from a guy from UK. the accent of an australian is very particular.
learning a foreign language is really a tough task.
don't give up. the more you practice the more you improve.
some day it's going to be very easy for you to speak to a native.
actually not really difficult to speak english with the people around me.
it is because most of them are able to speak english.
in fact, in my college, school and my life, i'm often to use the english as my second language. but not really fluently. even thought my english's oral test is good, but i still thinking that i'm not fully confident to speak with a native speaker.
