things of life
I'd like any of you to help me with the following in bold.
1. When you meditate and go inward, you lose attachment to the things of life. Instead, you uncover what is already inside of you.
Does this refer to "the things that has life and must die someday?"
2. I felt very grounded and slept peacefully that evening.
Does this mean "secure or comfortable?"
Thank you.

Does this mean "secure or comfortable?" "grounded" derives from the way in which an electrical circuit is connected to the earth = metaphorically, attached to the Earth.
Thank you.
